Abstract

235,477. L³de, A. von. Dec. 17, 1924. Windscreens.-In order to avoid the formation of a back-draught which may carry dust and deposit it over the passengers in the rear seats a of a motor-vehicle, a windscreen b of the kind comprising a piece of wire-netting is mounted in front of the rear seats so as to allow the passage of sufficient air to counterbalance the backdraught. The wire netting is preferably strengthened by means of resilient wires or ribbons of steel inserted or woven into it in an horizontal direction, and such wires or ribbons may form the horizontal edges b<1> of the screen. The screen is supported between vertical rods secured to the sides of the vehicle, and may be used in conjunction with a similar screen d in front of the driver's seat.
