361,715. Needles. TREJO, M. S., 203, East 17th Street, New York, U.S.A. Jan. 24, 1931, No. 2439. [Class 112.] Hand-sewing tools.-A needle for repairing runs or ladders in knit goods has a pivoted auxiliary hook with a shank for engaging the cross threads. The hook 14 has a second hook 24 pivoted in a recess 16. The shank 22 of the auxiliary hook has a recess 25 for engaging the cross thread and ensuring that it is slipped over the hook ]4 when the loop is being re-engaged. The end of the hook 24 engages a recess 33 in the hook 14 to form a smooth surface for engaging the cross thread to be pulled up by the hook 20 that the previous cross thread can be slipped over it. The hook 24 can be locked for insertion of the tool into heavy fabric by a sliding member 34 operated by a, finger piece 35.
