Abstract
360,329. Photographic shutters. MARKS, S. V. E., 180, Hampton Road, Twickenham, Middlesex. March 27, 1931, No. 9306. [Class 98 (i).] A device for actuating the shutter of a photographic camera after a predetermined interval consists of a cylinder A closed at one end by the screw-cap B and at the other by the bush C through which passes a curved piston-rod F provided at the outer end with an inclined flat triangular end J having an obtuse V-cut K in the end. The other end of the pistonrod has a valve head E bedding into a seat in the piston D, and is prevented from leaving the piston by the pin G. A compression spring H surrounds the piston-rod inside the cylinder. The piston D is provided with a groove L, and the cylinder A with four equidistant grooves I, permitting the slow escape of the grease with which the cylinder is filled from the bottom to the top of the cylinder.
