Abstract

360,051. Measuring fabrics. WINDERS, W. A., Windermere Lodge, Tewit Park, Harrogate, Yorkshire. March 19, 1931, No. 18714/30. [Class 42 (ii).] In a machine for measuring and marking fabrics the marking device C is arranged in a gap A<1> in a drum A which is of the same diameter as, and connected by gear: ng G, G<1> with, the cloth drum B, the device being reset at every revolution of the drum A by means of a star wheel S and a fixed pin P when the c.evice is above the centre G<2> of the drum. Projections A<2> spaced round the drum A mark intermediate measurements, and these along with the device C are inked by a roller K. The drum B may be provided with rubber blocks B<1> or the fabric may be lifted up against the device C by an arm operated by an extension on the drum A or its spindle. Specification 20274/96, [Class 42, Fabrics, Dressing &c.], is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 21277/12, [Class 42 (ii), Fabrics, Treating otherwise &c.].
