Class 100(ii) [Also in Group VIII] The effective width of an inking roller (e.g. in a rotary machine for printing fabric webs) may be varied in a stepless manner according to the web width. As shown the roller has a smooth hollow metal core 8 covered by a corrugated rubber sleeve 11 anchored at its centre (by a thickened part or by a separate rubber ring 14) and with sealing means such as rims 12, 13 at its ends adjustable along the core 8.
