Abstract

359,464. Bag &c. fastenings. HECHT, J., 45, Stumpergasse, Vienna. April 14, 1930, No. 11743. Convention date, April 15, 1929. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 44.] Stud-and-slot fastenings for bags &c. comprise a headed stud 6 on one part of the bag &c. adapted to engage in a keyhole slot formed in a fastening member secured to the other part of the bag &c., the stud being retained at the narrow end of the slot by resilient members. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the stud 6 is passed through the wide end 5 of a slot formed in a plate 1 provided with attachment lugs 4, and, when moved to the narrow end 7 of the slot, it snaps past inwardly projecting portions 12 of a spring 11 retained in place by a back-plate 2 soldered to plate 1. A modification is described in which plungers acted on by spiral springs replace the spring 11, and a further modification in which slidable plates pressed inwards by bowed springs have projections past which the stud 6 is snapped.
