358,118. Photographic spot lights ARROUSEZ, F. P., 148, South Edinburgh Avenue, Los Angeles, U.S.A. July 5, 1930, No. 20454. Convention date, July 5, 1929. [Classes 75 (ii), 75 (iii), and 75 (iv).] Searchlights; projectors; mounting electric lamps in lanterns ; trunnion mountings; reflectors mounting reflectors in lamp casings.-A photographic spot light comprises a front frame, a rear frame, a reflector between the frames defining a light chamber, and source of light in the chamber, and means for clamping the frames against the reflector. The reflector 12 is formed in sections 13, 14, with auxiliary sections 21, 24 covering the ventilation spaces 19, 20, leaving spaces 28 for the passage of air. The frames 10, 11 which may be of cast aluminium have channels for the reception of the reflector sections, and are clamped against the latter by tie rods 28a. The sections are corrugated, and may also be of aluminium. Asbestos packing is used in the channels. Attached to the tie rods 28a is a strap 36 carrying a pin 35 passing through a plate 37 supported on uprights 39 secured to a tripod, so that the lamp may be clamped in any position. The rear reflector is supported in an angled ledge by spring clips attached to the corrugated cover 50. The light source 61 is mounted on a carriage 58 moved axially along rods 53, 54 by rotation of the rod 54 which is screw-threaded. A screen or glass may be supported by retainers 63. The reflector 46 may be dispensed with, and the inner surface of the cover 50 polished.
