Abstract

358,085. Railway sleepers. FINLEY, H. W., 215, Haverstock Hill, London. June 30, 1930, No. 19813. [Class 104 (ii).] A reinforced concrete sleeper comprises two endpieces connected by three equal concrete bars through which are carried the principal reinforcing rods of the ends. The slots A, A<1> formed between the bars are continued as recesses in the ends. The bars may be of less depth than the ends. Shallow recesses are cast in the ends to form the chair seats.
