Abstract

In the process for extracting animal oils described in the parent Specification, according to which the boiled or pressed raw material is allowed to stand, and the resulting glue water passed through a centrifuge, the glue water after the main settling is submitted to a subsidiary settling or centrifugal treatment before passing to the main centrifuge. Before subsidiary treatment the glue water may be treated to precipitate the albumins by heating, or by addition of salts, or acids. The glue water from the centrifuge may be returned to the main settling tank.
