Abstract

Cellulose ethers of low viscosity and free from degradation products, prepared, for example, as described in Specifications 277,111, [Class 2 (ii), Cellulose &c.], and 352,999, [Group IV], are used as the basis of lacquers, varnishes, enamels, wood finishes, &c. The ether is mixed with solvents, diluents, plasticizers, resins such as dammar resin, and pigments. Specifications 309,951, 331,837, [both in Class 95, Paints &c.], and 333,902, [Class 2 (ii), Cellulose &c.], also are referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 342,391.
