Abstract
356,996. Cleaning golf balls. STRONG, C. W., 532, East 32nd Street North, Portland, Oregon, U.S.A. Nov. 8, 1930, No. 33723. [Class 132 (ii).] In a golf ball cleaner comprising a number of rotary brushes 4-6 arr a n g e d symmetrically within a container 1 so as to provide a gap between them into which the balls are inserted, the spindles 17 of the brushes are parallel to the axis of the container and the gap is substantially co-axial with the container. The spindles are rotatably mounted in the lid of the container and in a base member 7 attached to the lid by struts 8, 9, 10. One spindle is rotated by a crank handle, the other two being geared thereto for rotation in the opposite direction. The lowermost ball rests upon a removing lift 21 operable by a draw-rod 22 extending through the lid.
