Abstract

A magnesian cement or plaster for spraying on walls or slabs as a finishing coat consists of 1 part of powdered magnesite and 2 to 7 parts of powdered brick or stone, with or without pumice powder; 3 parts of this stock mixture are added to 1 part of magnesium chloride solution of density 54 to 22 DEG Tw., such as that described in Specification 189,276, [Class 70, Indiarubber &c.]. Water and pigments such as iron or zinc oxide may be added. Specifications 4279/08, [Class 20, Buildings &c.], 259,826, [Class 70, Indiarubber &c.], and 268,016, [Class 20 (iv), Floors &c.], also are referred to.
