Abstract
356,341. Walking,sticks. CROMBIE, C. E. F., 156, Sloane Street, London. June 20, 1930, No. 18389. [Class 134.] In walking sticl:s comprising a handle b and two rigid members a, c, pivotally connected at d adjacent the handle, so that objects can be picked up from the ground &c. without stooping or strain, the members a, c are formed with a space between them to permit insertion of the user's fingers. The members a, c may be splayed or bowed outwardly adjacent the pivot d, and, when used as a stick, they are clamped together as by a hook- and-pin device e, or by a ring. The handle b may be of crook, knob, or straight form. Ferrules g are provided at the ends of the members a, c, which may also carry serrated rubber pads f.
