Abstract

371,766. Ferrules for walking sticks &c. BOVELL, J., 2, Derwentwater Road, Acton, London. Oct. 28, 1931, No. 29876. [Class 134.] In walking sticks or the like, the stick 1 has a spiked end 3 having screw threads 2 thereon adapted to be engaged by an internally screw-threaded detachable ferrule thi:nble member 4, Fig. 2, projections 5 or milling being provided on the exterior of the thimble to facilitate manipulation. The thimble may be formed entirely of rubber, felt, .or the like, or be provided with a rubber or padded tip. According to the Provisional Specification, the thimble may be attached by a bayonet-slot arrangement.
