Anon.; 1, Rue du Rhone, Geneva, Switzerland.) Dec. 18, 1930, No. 38175. Convention date, Jan. 10. [Class 12 (i).] Lubricant leakage along a shaft C is prevented by a disc D and a smaller disc E rotating with the shaft and providing an oil collecting space 18 between them, the arrangement of the parts being such that at high speeds of rotation leakage oil is thrown off the perimeter 16 of the larger disc D under centrifugal force and at low rotary speeds the oil drips from the perimeter 16 under gravity. The disc D may be plane and the disc E conical, or both discs may be plane and spaced apart.
