355,174. Driving and steering gear for trollies. DEBRIE, A. L. V. C., 111, Rue St. Maur, Paris. Feb. 18, 1931, No. 5172. Convention date, April 4, 1930. [Classes 79 (ii) and 79 (v).] A movable stand or trolley for kinematographic or like view-taking apparatus comprises a central upright mounted on a number of wheels adapted to be directed all simultaneously in the same direction, at least one of the wheels being provided with control means ensuring the progress of the trolley in the desired direction. The trolley comprises a casing having a central upright portion 1 and feet portions 2, 3, 4, each of the latter being provided with a wheel 5. These wheels are simultaneously steerable by means of a control handle 19 and gears 9, 10, 12, 16, 17, each wheel being carried by a turnplate 7 having a slot 8 and integral with the gear 9. The platform for carrying the kinematograph apparatus is operated through a sleeve 37 and screw 36 by means of an electric motor 31 and gears 33, 34, 35. One of the wheels 5 is driven by a second electric motor 20 through worm gearing 22, 23, a gear 25, a planet gear 26 and worm gearing 28, 29. Other forms of driving may be adopted.
