Abstract
355,050. Tubes for heat exchangers. STEVENS, C. H., Romsey, One Pin Lane, Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire. Nov. 11, 1930, No. 26559. [Class 64 (iii).] Radiator tubes of small bore and having hollow arms 3 are pressed from tubes of larger bore and the ends of the arms pinched together and welded to close the inner ends of the spaces between thearms. The tubes are then welded to connecting tubes 5 having flat star-shaped flanges 7. Transverse baffles may be placed in the tubes. The ends of the radiator tubes may be bevelled and the flanges of the connecting tubes correspondingly formed as in Fig. 4.
