354,362. Enamels. DEUTSCHE GOLD-UND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT VORM. ROESSLER, 7, Weissfrauenstrasse, Frankfort-on-Main, Germany. May 7, 1930, No. 14027. Convention date, May 21, 1929. [Class 56.] A glossy acid-resisting enamel is made by using lithium silicate as a constituent in addition to lead but without any boric acid. The lithium silicate may be produced by fusing together 29À3 parts by weight of lithium carbonate and 88À1 parts by weight of silica. About 230 parts by weight of minium are fused with 120-240 parts by weight of the lithium silicate to form the flux, and other materials, such as potash, may be added. Suitable colouring agents, such as chromium oxide and iron oxide, may be added to the flux.
