A glass composition for making fibre glass consists of, by weight percentage, SiO 2 , 45-55 ; CaO 22À1-30; MgO 10À1-20: and Al 2 O 3 5-15. The glass may also contain BaO, ZnO, FeO, Fe 2 O 3 , B 2 O 3 , MaO, alkali oxides and colouring agents either inrtoduced deliberately or as part of the raw materials used. Specification 428,720 is referred to.
