Abstract

An abrasive cutting tool comprises a shank portion to which is secured a cutting portion consisting of a mixture of sintered hard tough metal particles and a soft binder metal cementing the particles together, the superficial binding metal being removed to expose the cutting edges of the hard particles. The binding metal may consist of 48 per cent of copper, 47 per cent of silver, and 6 per cent of cobalt.
