Abstract

352,732. Maps &c. DAWES, G. W., 2, Park Road, Moseley, Birmingham. July 8, 1930, No. 20605. [Class 146 (ii).] A roller device for displaying maps &c. consists of a casing containing two separate bands or webs bearing the one a strip road map and the other a list of towns with their distances from a given town, the bands being mounted on separate pairs of rollers and movable independently behind separate windows or apertures in opposite sides of the casing. The rollers 6, 7 carrying the bands are mounted in endplates 8, 9 connected by a central tubular member 11 to form a detachable frame. The rollers 6 are disposed between the rollers 7, preferably in the same plane. The casing 1 is open-ended and is closed by two caps 13, 15 after the roller frame has been inserted, the caps being secured in position by screws 16 applied into the ends of the tubular member 11. Knobs 14 for manipulating the rollers are applied to the roller spindles outside the cap 8.
