[Class 52 (ii).] In an X-frame chair having rear supporting struts F connected by a cross bar H, which can be engaged in notches J in one of the frame members A, the said cross bar is secured at a distance from the ends of the struts which overlie the frame A and, in the event of the cross bar H slipping from its notches, are adapted to engage a second cross bar K lower down the frame.
