Abstract

352,249. Window guards. HIMMELMANN, A., 216, Markischestrasse, Dortmund, Germany. July 8, 1930, No. 20674. Convention date, Feb. 13. [Class 20 (iii).] A rolling grille for window and like guards comprises horizontal cross rods a joined to zig-zag strips b by flat strips c riveted to the rods having ends bent over towards one side or studs riveted therein so as to allow bending towards one side only. The strips b are connected by like members c with or without intermediate flat pieces d. The apertures in the bars d are made of I-section, the central projections n, Fig. 2, being bent into an aperture in the connectors to position same. Back. wardly bent ends or punched out tongues c<1> in the ends of a connector act as stops when the grille is bent and prevent detachment. The connectors have shoulders formed thereon to take wear and to position them.
