[Class 146 (ii).] An envelope having side flaps b, c with gummed edges h, i is provided with a lining f of tissue paper or the like having a sealing-flap g adapted to cover partly and to be attached to the gummed edges h, i, the sealing-flap e of the envelope itself being adapted to cover the sealing-flap of the lining and to be attached to the uncovered portions of the gummed edges h, i of the side flaps b, c. Further, the edges k, l of the sealing-flap e are gummed to adhere to the flaps b, c, d, and the flap is extended so that its tip m can be folded over the edge of the envelope and secured by means of a postage stamp in known manner. The thin flap g of the lining provides a means for indicating unauthorized opening of the envelope.
