[Class 81 (ii).] A tensioning-device for use in the treatment of fractured bones comprises two parallel arms a, b between which is stretched a wire m which passes through the injured member. The wire is stretched by forcing the arms apart by means of a screw g; they are maintained parallel to one another by sleeves c, d on one arm cooperating with pins e, f on the other, and by tightening nut k when the extension is com pleted. A wire hook s is provided to which weights for extending the member may be attached.
