[Class 146 (iii).] In a receptacle for ink or other liquids of the kind in which a well is provided in the neck portion, the well comprises a wall extending across the neck of the receptacle in the general direction of the neck, both the interior of the receptacle and the well being directly accessible for the insertion of an instrument through the neck of the receptacle. The receptacle 10 is provided in the neck 11 with a removable well 13 of approximately crescentshape having a wall 12 curved and sloped to form a channel through which ink or other liquid may flow to enter the well by tilting the receptacle. A shoulder 9 may be provided inside the neck portion 11 for the well member to rest on. The well member is provided with a shoulder 15 on the wall 12 to prevent the remaining drops of ink &c. in an almost empty receptacle from running back into the receptacle during the filling of the well by tilting the receptacle. A cap provided with an inner cork layer is adapted to seal the neck of the receptacle during the filling of the well and the cork layer may rest on the top of the wall 12. A notch 16 is provided in the top of the wall 12 to allow the ink &c. to enter the well 13 and a further notch 17 is provided to allow the air to escape from the well during the filling operation. In a modification the well is integral with the receptacle.
