[Class 7 (ii).] Mixing charge.-A grid-like construction comprising groups of thin metal plates intersecting at right-angles and spaced closely together is fitted in the induction pipe, or in a sleeve inserted in the pipe, to facilitate atomization. At each end of a group of long plates a, Fig. 7, slots b are provided into which are fitted groups of comparatively short plates c, Fig. 8, having corresponding slots d. The centre plates of each group are longer than the others, the projecting portions g, f, Fig. 1, fitting into slots formed in the casing of the device. The plates may be heated directly or indirectly by means not disclosed.
