Abstract
350,853. Supply meters. SOC. DES COMPTEURS DE GENEVE, 8, Rue des Vieux-Grenadiers, Geneva, Switzerland. Sept. 25, 1930, No. 28766. Convention date, Dec. 10, 1929. [Class 37.] In a multiple-tariff meter having a separate counting train for each tariff brought into gear by means of a relay, the counter or counters that are not registering are held stationary by means of a thin fork engaging pins on the first counting drum of the train. As shown applied to a two-rate meter, the relay 7 causes registration to be effected on one or other of two trains 2, 3 by means of a meterdriven pinion (not shown) carried by the armature 6, which also carries a fork 1 having prongs 4, 5, one or other of which engages between pins 14 on the first drum of the counting train not in use. The prong 4 which is not in engagement with the pins 14 moves into the interior of the pin ring. The prongs 4, 5 are thin and elastic enough to enable the stopped drum 3 to be adjusted by hand to bring it to zero without damaging the prongs. The fork 1 may alternatively be made from thin metal wire.
