350,558. Lifting jacks ; jacking attachments for vehicles. DUIN, P. W., Bovenkerk, Nieuwer Amstel, Holland. March 14, 1930, No. 8291. Convention date, Jan. 27. [Class 78 (iii).] Lifting-jacks of the kind having a casing enclosing a screwed spindle carrying nuts connected by linkage to a base plate adapted to close the under side of the casing, have the nuts connected to the baseplate by a pair of links. The casing 1 encloses a right- and left-hand screwed spindle 5 with one end 12 projecting for actuation by a handle. Nuts 7 are mounted on the spindle and a pair of links 9 are pivotally connected at their upper ends to the nuts and at their lower ends to a baseplate 11 which when the jack is collapsed closes the under side of the casing. When applied to a vehicle, clamping plates 2 are secured by bolts 3 to a bearing block 6 and to the frame 4 of the vehicle.
