Abstract
348,387. Boots &c. WANGEMANN, P., 80, B³lowstrasse, Berlin. May 15, 1930, No. 14927. Convention date, Aug. 26, 1929. [Class 17 (ii).] A boot or shoe upper or lining is woven in one piece of inelastic material to final form with an insole with warp threads g running from heel to toe and weft threads f running round the foot. Cheap leather can b attached to the outside to form an upper with a space between it and the lining for ventilation, or it can be coated or impregnated with rubber, celluloid, or viscous solution, such as that employed in the manufacture of artificial silk, or wax. The coating may be done in one bath and hardening in another. The lining may be stiffened at toe, heel, or sides by local impregnation, or stiffeners may be inserted. The sole part of the upper or lining may be slit to facilitate removal of the last. A sole may be attached by cementing or sewing.
