Abstract

348,326. Rackets. POLETTI, G., 18, Via Revere, Milan, Italy. April 5, 1930, No. 10914. Convention date, June 17, 1929. [Class 132 (ii).] Relates to a tennis racket wherein the frame comprises a piece of wood D bent to the required shape and having its end portions J connected together to form a core for the handle K, and consists in forming grooves L in the adjacent surfaces of the end portions J to permit these end portions to interlock as shown. The junction of the end portions is covered on both sides of the racket by means of overlapping wooden strips G, H glued to the frame and handle. The strengthening effect of the overlapping strips allows the usual wedge and bridge-piece to be dispensed with.
