323,960. Gradidge & Sons, Ltd., H., and Robshaw, P. March 2, 1929. Packets. - The two lower ends d of the wooden head a of a racket are brought nearly together as shown and are then continued some way down the handle c. The handle is made from a single piece of cane, and the head a may be of ash. The upper end of the handle is formed as a wedge f which passes up and fits between the ends d of the head. Small wooden wedges g, which may be of elm, complete the oval form of the head. A screw h, together with glue, secures the parts together. The handle e is bound with gut at various places, one binding i surrounding the junction of the head pieces d with the handle e. The lower part of the handle may be bound with leather j.
