Abstract
347,965. Stop-motions for wireweaving looms. VEREINIGTE STAHLWERKE AKT.-GES., 67, Breitestrasse, Dusseldorf, Germany.-(Assignees of MERSE, W. ; Brunn, Thuringia, Germany.) July 5, 1930, No. 20470. Convention date, July 30, 1929. Addition to 294,645, [Class 142 (i), Looms, Driving &c.]. [Classes 142 (i) and 142 (iii).] In electric stop-motions of the kind described in the parent Specification, the circuit including the weft wire 2 is closed by the engagement of the weft with insulated weft holding and tensioning pins 3 connected in a relay circuit 13 and mounted on arms 4 urged by springs 5 away from the selvages. When the weft has been inserted, the loop at the selvage is released by the raising of the pin 3. Cross wires 10 arranged at the sides of the loom serve only for tensioning the weft and are not insulated nor connected in a relay circuit as in the parent Specification. If a weft is broken or jammed between the cross wires 10, or is absent due to exhaustion of the supply, the circuit 12 is not completed and a second relay operates the warp stop-motion to stop the loom, as in the parent Specification.
