Abstract

347,956. Wireless telegraphy. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE, 12, Hallesches Ufer, Berlin. June 24, 1930, No. 19250. Convention date, July 6, 1929. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (v).] A short-wave high-speed telegraph or copying- telegraph system uses one frequency for marking and another for spacing, the former starts the marking at the receiver and the latter ends it. The transmitter may send out energy during the whole of the marking and spacing periods, or during all the marking periods and at the beginning of each spacing period, or at the beginning only of each marking and each spacing period. The last system reduces the effect of fading. A thermionic-valve or glow-discharge relay cuts in or out a recording current at the change over from one frequency to the other.
