347,932. Electrically-actuated valves ; accessories. GLENFIELD & KENNEDY, Ltd., Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, and BALL, E. B., 55, Midton Road, Ayr. June 4, 1930, No. 17146. [Class 135.] An interlock electric switch device, for providing for alternative manual actuation in electricallyoperated valves, comprises a switch box 1<1>, Fig. 2, with a hinged cover 2 carrying spring-pressed contacts 10, 11, Figs. 2 and 4, which bridge the contact bars 5, 6 of the electric supply leads when the box is closed. When the lid 2 is opened the circuit of the motor is broken, and the end 3<1> of the valve operating or motor spindle exposed for manual operation. A number of valves may be protected in the same way by an interlock switch box at each valve so that the opening of any one of the boxes breaks the power circuit and renders the valves inoperative by electric power.
