Abstract

238,963. Reyrolle & Co., Ltd., A., and Clothier, H. W. May 30, 1924. Fuse boxes with hinged covers are provided with a plug and socket switch, one member of which is attached to the base and the other to the cover so that the opening of the cover cuts off current to the fuses. The distribution box A provided with fuses B, B<1> has a hinged cover A<1> bearing a plug member E<1> connected to the fuses by a flexible lead G. When the lid is closed the member E<1> co-operates with a fixed socket E connected to the incoming mains so that the fuses are alive only when the cover is closed. While in the open position current may be taken from the socket E to an inspection lamp.
