Abstract

347,081. Surgical irrigators. SPARDEL, E., 122, Hasselbrookstrasse, Hamburg, Germany. Aug. 25, 1930, No. 25347. [Class 81 (ii).] In a vaginal irrigator comprising an injection tube 1 having longitudinal drainage grooves 3 and a hollow conical obturator 7 from which the irrigation liquid is withdrawn through a tube 16, the obturator 7 is of soft vulcanized rubber and is formed with external circumferential grooves 9. The forward end 8 of the obturator closely engages the tube 1 and the rear end r engages a screwthreaded portion 4 thereof, allowing longitudinal adjustment. The portion 12 is stated to form an annular channel 11, the web 10 supporting the conical wall 7 in an elastic manner.
