Abstract

Coating-compositions, such as those containing film-forming constituents, driers, active solvents and diluents, contain diluents mainly comprising petroleum naphtha constituents which are soluble in liquid sulphur dioxide. In an example a coating composition contains about 36 per cent of film-forming constituents, about 1 per cent of driers, about 15 per cent of active solvents, about 12 per cent of alcohol, about 5 per cent of aromatic diluents, and about 29 per cent of SO2-soluble petroleum naphtha.
