Abstract

346,203. Moving signs. McGHEE, C. M., 346, Sauchiehall Street, and GILLGAN, W. V., 128, York Drive, Hyndland, both in Glasgow. May 15, 1930, No. 14894. [Class 3 (i).] In announcement devices of the type comprising a semaphore display arm pivotally mounted on the frame of a glazed door, and swingable from a position in which the arm overlies the door frame into an outwardly projecting display position by a crank on the door handle connected to the arm by a rod, a sheath 3 is provided to conceal the arm 1 when in inoperative position. A spring 11 is interposed between the door handle crank 5 and an abutment 12 on the end of the connecting-rod 6 to allow of further turning of the handle 7 after the arm 1 has been brought into full display. A spring 8 restores the arm 1 when the handle 7 is released.
