Abstract

Releasing-devices for collectors, of the type comprising a catch k', Fig. 5, released to free the spring abutment n, are so arranged that the abutment, when released, bears against a stationary cam j<1> so that, when the pole is swung at rightangles to the car, the spring is again compressed and the catch re-engaged. A central catch may be mounted on top of the block c, or two side catches k' may be used and engaged by two arms m<1> carrying contact screws m<2>. The abutment n carries rollers o engaging the cam j<1>. The catch may also be released by a rod 19, Fig. 4, connected to a curved lever 18 whenever the lever is pressed against any obstruction.
