Abstract
344,260. Extracting juice from oranges &c. VALE, W. J. H., 33, Frederick Street, Birmingham. April 5, 1930, No. 10839. [Class 28 (ii).] A perforated tube 1 is thrust through the fruit which is squeezed thereon so that the juice runs through the perforations 3 and out at the end 2 which is cut away to facilitate piercing. The end 4 may be closed, or open, as shown, to permit an ejector rod to be passed through the tube to clear away any obstruction. A seating member 5 may be provided to bear against the rind of the fruit. A side blade 6 may be provided to cut through the fibres by revolving the tube in the fruit, thereby inducing a more copious flow of juice.
