Abstract
402,029. Extracting juice from lemons and the like. GALLI, U., 10, Rue Faraday, Paris. Sept. 5, 1933, No. 24595. Convention date, June 12. [Class 28 (ii).] A device for extracting juice from lemons &c. consists of a perforated tube T having a piercing point b, resilient blades l<1>, l<2> connected to the tube and normally occupying divergent positions as shown ; and a sleeve B slidable on the tube so that, as it approaches the end b thereof, the blades l<1>, l<2> are pressed against the sides of the tube to enable them to be thrust, with the tube, into the lemon. The hole thus made in the lemon is sealed bv the rim c and the screwed exterior of the sleeve B. When the tube is fully inserted in the fruit, the blades l<1>, l<2> diverge, and rotation of the fruit on the tube ruptures the fruit cells, the liberated juice running out of the spout end a of the tube.
