343,645. Radiators for motor vehicles. HUMBER, Ltd. and GRINHAM, E. G., Stoke, Coventry. Dec. 13, 1929, No. 38216. [Class 29.] In thermostatically-operated shutter mechanism a readily adjustable loading spring 19 is connected to a pivoted arm 8 actuated by the thermostat 6. Coarse adjustment is provided in ball joints 17, 18 in the links connecting the arm 8 with a rod 16 of the shutter mechanism, and the tension of the spring 19 is adjusted by a screw 23 engaging one arm of a bell crank 20 to which the lower end of the spring is connected. According to the Provisional Specification the invention may be applied to other mechanisms.
