Abstract
428,741. Vehicle shock absorbers. WIELAND, E., 11, Passerellenstrasse, Biel, Switzerland. July 13, 1934, No. 20629. Convention date, July 17, 1933. [Class 108 (iii)] In a vehicle shockabsorber in which a wheel axle is connected to the chassis through a spring - controlled lever, the lever b is held normally in a central position relatively to the shock-absorber casing a by means of springs k mounted on guides g, h of variable length each of which is connected at one end j to a beam f centrally pivoted to the lever b and at the other end to a fixed pivot i, so that the springs assist the swinging movement of the lever about the pivot c away from its central position but oppose its return movement. In the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 the distance between the pivots i is greater than that between the pivots j, and the pivots c and i lie on the same straight line. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
