Abstract

<PICT:0341751/III/1> In an evaporator for feedwater having a horizontally arranged steam dome 1 provided with a separator 2 for catching the water carried off by the steam, the separator comprises filling material disposed between two sieve plates and flushed by a pipe 7 branched from the steam heating pipe. The separator is supported by a rod 3 having a joint and a steamtight coupling against the loose cover of the dome, and the water is drained off through a pipe 5 which may be connected to the brine branch 6.
