Abstract
Modifying physical properties of formed cellulose articles.-The elasticity of artificial silk is improved by allowing the silk to take its natural elongation on treatment with water or with water vapour as by steaming, and then fixing the new length by drying under conditions which prevent contraction. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) refers to treatment with a liquid or vapour; and also to application of the process before, during or after the usual processes to which artificial silk is subjected. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
