Abstract
Textile yarns are sized in a solution of rubber in benzine or carbon disulphide with or without the addition of alcohol or petroleum and the size is subsequently removed by scouring in a slightly alkaline or ammoniacal hot solution. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also refers to the treatment of fabrics. Rubber such as crepe, latex (natural, ammoniacal, alkaline, artificial or artificially emulsionated) or vulcanized rubber may be used. An example is given for the treatment of artificial silk yarn. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.ALSO:Textile yarns are sized with a solution of rubber in benzine or carbon bisulphide with or without the addition of alcohol or petroleum and the size is subsequently removed by scouring in a slightly alkaline or ammoniacal hot liquid. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also refers to the treatment of fabrics and specifies artificial silk yarn. Rubber such as crepe, latex (natural, ammoniacal, alkaline, artificial or artificially emulsionated), or vulcanized rubber may be used. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
