[Class 140.] Wool, fur, &c. are protected against attack by moth and other textile pests by incorporating therewith selenious acid, selenic acid or their salts, such as ammonium selenate or selenite and salts of selenious acid with organic bases such as ethylenediamine, n-butylamine and cyclohexylamine. The substances are dissolved in water or organic solvents such as alcohols, acetone and cyclohexanone and applied by spraying or steeping. Organic or inorganic salts, acids such as sulphuric acid, dyes and wetting agents may be added.
