Abstract

340,171. Ingram, T. M. Feb. 21, 1930. Che stexpanders. - A shoulder bracing or supporting device comprises a pair of armhole straps 1, the narrow ends 1a of which terminate at the rear of the armpits and are connected to elastic straps 2 which pass through guide loops 3, 4 upon the larger portions 1b of the straps 1, and thence downwardly for connection, for instance by tabs 8, to buttons at the rear of trousers, corsets, or a belt. The strap 2 is adjustably secured to the strap 1 by a clip 5 and exerts a rearward pull over or upon the top of the shoulders; its length is adjusted by a clip 9. The straps 1 are formed with lateral extensions 1c which are connected by an adjustable elastic strap 10. The ends 1a, 1b of the armhole straps may be connected together by a separate adjustable elastic strap instead of utilizing the upper ends of the straps 2.
