Abstract

406,158. Catamenial appliances. TOSSELL, J. C., 52, Wheaton Road, Boscombe, Bournemouth. July 10, 1933, No. 13459. [Class 81 (ii).] A suspender for catamenial towels or pads comprises a belt A having a back tab B, and two front tabs C, C<1> so positioned and constructed that the upper parts lie on or over the hips and the whole converge downwards to lie next the groin, the ends of all three tabs carrying towel-holding means. The belt may comprise elastic strips A, A<1>, A<2> connected to tabs having upper portions of cloth connected to elastic ribbons which are adjustable in length. The towel E has loops F, G through which strips B<3>, C<6>, C<7> are passed and secured by press buttons D, D<1>. In a modification, Fig. 4, the tabs C, C<1> are slidable on the belt A and are connected to tapes H which pass through guides in the tab B and out of a hole J, where they are tied to hold the side tabs in adjusted position.
